RAMSEY OK WITH SHAWCROSS

The Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has said that he does not have any problem with the Stoke city defender Ryan Shawcross being called up for the international duty. The Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey is the captain of the Welsh national team.

The Wales national team manager Chris Coleman recently revealed that he is considering the prospect of bringing the Stoke city defender Ryan Shawcross into the team. Aaron Ramsey and Ryan Shawcross do not share a good history after the latter was responsible for breaking the Arsenal midfielder's leg a few seasons ago.

Aaron Ramsey has never been the same player since then, but the player has said that he does not have any problem with the defender being called up for the national team. Ramsey has said that he is just the captain of the national team and does not have any influence upon the selection of players. He has also revealed that Chris Coleman has consulted him over this issue, but the manager will be making the ultimate decision when it comes to calling up the former Manchester United defender for international duty. Ryan Shawcross has become one of the best defenders in the country since making the move to Stoke city.

"It's his [Coleman's] decision who he brings and who he decides to play. I'm just the captain and a player who just turns up and wants to play for my country, so ultimately it's his decision. We've [Coleman and me] had a chat but it's his decision at the end of the day and I'm sure he will have the team's best interests at heart. I had a text off him [Shawcross] straight afterwards after I done my leg but that was it," said Aaron Ramsey when asked about the prospect of playing alongside Ryan Shawcross.
