RAMSEY ABSENT FOR BELGIUM CLASH

Former Arsenal and Cardiff City midfielder Aaron Ramsey was a major absentee for the UEFA Nations League clash between Wales and hosts Belgium. Aaron Ramsey was absent as his Welsh team lost 2-1 to home team Belgium who are second on the FIFA Ranking behind five-time world champions Brazil.

OGC Nice star Ramsey missed the latest international game between Belgium and Wales due to injury. Aaron Ramsey was not the only Wales player to miss the game as a result of injury. Apart from him, the likes of Harry Wilson, Ben Davies and Joe Allen also missed the game due to injury.

Ramsey was in action for Wales when they played out a 1-1 draw with Belgium in June in the first meeting between the two countries in the latest edition of the UEFA Nations League. However, the Welsh team could not avoid defeat against the same opponents without Ramsey when the two nations met again in this season's UEFA Nations League. With the influence of Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, Belgium beat Wales 2-1 at home with two of the three goals scored in the first 45 minutes. Belgium and Wales have been drawn in Group A4 of this season's alongside Poland and the Netherlands.
City playmaker De Bruyne was a thorn in the flesh of the Welsh defenders for their latest meeting with his Belgian side. It took him just ten minutes to put his stamp on the game with the opening goal on ten minutes before he provided the assist for new Fenerbahce striker MichyBatshuayi to double the lead with eight minutes left in the first half. Bournemouth striker Kiefer Moore pulled a goal back for Wales five minutes into the second half and that was as good as it got for the home nation as they had to settle for a slim defeat in the absence of a second goal.
