Piers Morgan believes Arsenal won’t miss the services of Aaron Ramsey

Arsenal super-fan Piers Morgan believes the Gunners won’t miss the services of Aaron Ramsey once he leaves for Juventus at the end of the season. The Wales international has already agreed to join the Bianconeri on a pre-contract agreement with his existing deal with the Gunners due to expire at the end of the campaign.

Speaking on TalkSPORT, Morgan suggested that Ramsey reminds him of another fan favourite in Olivier Giroud, who has not been missed since his departure for Chelsea, he said: “Aaron Ramsey reminds me of Olivier Giroud – they’re both very good footballers, but honestly we haven’t missed Giroud at all since he left and I don’t think we’re going to miss Ramsey anything like the way people keep going on about it. The truth is, Ramsey for the last few years has been a perfectly good player in the team, but under Emery he hasn’t started that many games. Recently he’s started playing well because he’s got his big deal and good luck to him. He’s been a good servant to the team.”

“Ramsey has been one of Arsenal’s strong performers over the past month and his commitment has earned him plaudits from the club’s faithful". Nonetheless, the north London club need to plan for the future after the departure of the Welshman and reports indicate that the “search for a probable" replacement has already begun.

According to reports, the club are looking into Paris Saint-Germain’s Christopher Nkunku as an option for the summer after witnessing the failure of Denis Suarez. Suarez made the loan move from Barcelona during the winter period with the obligation for a permanent switch but the Spaniard has struggled to meet the expectations and has managed just six substitute appearances to date. Arsenal are currently occupying the final Champions League spot on the league table with a two-point advantage over Manchester United.
