WE MUST KEEP ROBIN

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has said that the club should be focusing on keeping star striker Robin van Persie at the club next season in order to be title contenders. It has been seven seasons since Arsenal last lift the trophy, while their last Premier league title came back in 2004. As a result, there has been many suggestions that top players do not want to play for Arsenal, where the wages are not competitive when compared with the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City. Despite this, every season there is renewed hope at Arsenal that they will finally lift the Premier league title, according to Arsenal news.

Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey has said that it would be almost impossible for Arsenal to lift the Premier league title next season if they decide to sell Robin van Persie, who is entering into the final year of his contract. There has been no suggestion from the Dutchman that he is ready to commit to Arsenal. Even after many seasons with the London club, Robin van Persie is yet to win a major title. Cesc Fabregas left the club last summer and has already lifted four trophies with Barcelona this season.

“It’s important we keep Robin if we seriously want to be title contenders. He has proven this season what his value is to the team with the goals he has scored. It’s important to keep those sort of players at the club. He was our top goalscorer, won the Golden Boot and the Player of the Year awards, so any team would want to keep him. Arsenal are no different. He hasn’t given any of the other lads any indications on what he is going to do. Nothing has been said. But, hopefully, he will stay,” said Aaron Ramsey, who has started most of the matches in the absence of Fabregas.

RAMSEY GETS OLYMPIC CALL-UP

With the horrors of the broken leg suffered last season Aaron Ramsey and Arsenal fans can look back at a successful year for the 21 year old. At such a young age his achievements have been significant, including becoming captain of his national team and becoming an increasingly important player for his club side.

The Arsenal midfielder has gone from strength to strength this season and improved significantly. There are still questions over his game and many improvements need to be made, but should he and Jack Wilshire be able to avoid injury and form a partnership, the pairing may become one of the most formidable midfield pairings around.

The biggest danger for Ramsey is another poor start for Arsenal, in fact when Arsenal have been on poor form this year, many fans have been quick to point out Ramsey’s poor performances, it seems he may well become a victim of the blame culture which is becoming ever present in the modern game. The Arsenal Manager has also received some undeserved criticism from his owns fans this year despite a third place finish. Ramsey’s performance this year although at some points inconsistent has certainly been a step in the right direction and it seems likely that he will be a major part of Stuart Pierce’s Olympic squad.

With Jack Wilshire remaining an option for a return from injury in time to compete in the 2012 Olympics as well, this could see the birth of their partnership and I wouldn’t be too surprised to see them both return to their club with a gold medal and as an established pairing ready to push on from last season. For this reason Arsenal fans should be watching the Olympic football very closely as an insight into the future of their club.

RAMSEY PREDICTS BRIGHT FUTURE

Arsenal's young midfielder Aaron Ramsey has said that he is almost certain that the youngsters at Arsenal will definitely come good in the future. A lot has been spoken about the Arsenal's youth policy - it has been one of the reasons for Arsenal to be sustainable in the face of many clubs spending huge amounts of transfer fees.

Despite spending only limited amount of money, Arsenal have been able to keep up with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City near the top of the table. Even though they have not won the title for seven years now, Arsenal can at least be confident that they will be self-sufficient under Arsene Wenger.

One of the main reasons for Arsenal to be self-sufficient under Arsene Wenger is the plethora of youth players at the club. Welsh star Aaron Ramsey also used to be one of the young players, but he has now grown up into a magnificent first-team player. Now, the Welsh midfielder believes that it is about time Arsenal's youth players began showing their quality, and it will not be long before Arsenal start charging for the titles. However, sceptics may say that it has been the reason for players like Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri to depart from the club, while Robin van Persie may also follow suit in the summer.

"There's plenty of young talent there and we have to bond even more and gel as a team throughout the years. It'll only make us stronger because you realise what to do on the pitch Hopefully, we'll make it successful for many years. It's important that you have that core, that you've been together for a few years and you understand each other', Ramsey said when asked about the quality of the youngsters at Arsenal.
