Many Expectations around Aaron Ramsey and Other Welsh Stars

Aaron Ramsey could not perform well in the Qatar World Cup but he is ready to put it behind him. Rob Page, head coach of Wales, received a surprise phone call from Gareth Bale.

The 33-year-old player told Page that he was thinking of retiring from professional football. Rob Page was surprised to hear this and was hoping that the other experienced players of the team will not follow suit. This includes Aaron Ramsey as well. After all, Aaron Ramsey, Chris Gunter, and Wayne Hennessey are all 30-plus-aged players on the team. They are currently heading to play for the qualifying campaign of Euro 2024.

Aaron had been part of the Wales team that went to Qatar. This campaign was a difficult one for them and Aaron had taken an extended break after that. He is now back at club Nice and Page is hopeful that the former Arsenal star will play some significant games for Red Dragon this year.

The head coach stated that he felt that Aaron still has much to give to Welsh football. The page also stated that he was going to give this message to Aaron when he meets him. Currently, Aaron Ramsey, Nicolas Pepe, and Ross Barkley are trying to rebuild their career in France. The trio was found playing well in the Wednesday match. This resulted in OGC Nice winning over Montpellier with a score of 6-1.

The match showcased that players like Ramsey are back in action and are ready to improve their game. They are all former star players of the Premier League. Though the break from playing at the World Cup was a difficult one for them, however, they have much to work towards. As Page revealed, he hopes that Aaron and the others will take the team through the Euro 2024 qualifying rounds.
