Juventus sporting director dismisses the prospect of Paulo Dybala leaving the club

Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici has dismissed the prospect of Paulo Dybala leaving the Bianconeri despite the speculation over the attacker’s future. The Argentine was linked with both Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur before the close of the Premier League transfer window but a deal did not materialise with either team due to issues regarding the image rights.

As such, Dybala continues to remain in the ranks of the Bianconeri and when asked about the forward’s future, Paratici said that there has been nothing concrete with respect to the player’s potential departure from Turin, he told: ''We are in the market, it is normal that there are interests but to close a deal everyone must agree: club and player. Dybala? It's like all the other players. He is of Juve, and he is a great player, our 10. It is clear that there are speeches that are made for him and also for others. These are speeches that we will deepen and apply to everyone, not just for him."

Dybala struggled to cement a regular starting role under the guidance of Max Allegri last term with Cristiano Ronaldo, Mario Mandzukic and Federico Bernardeschi ahead of him in the pecking order. That appears unlikely to change despite a new manager at the helm and reports have suggested that Paris Saint-Germain could make a swoop for the former Palermo man.

The French champions are bracing for the potential departure of Neymar to Barcelona this summer and that could pave the way for Dybala’s signature. Juventus start their league campaign with a home game against Parma and the match should witness a number of debutants. Among those, Matthijs de Ligt could be one of them to watch for after the big-money move from Ajax. The young Dutchman has been tipped to become one of the world’s best and it will be interesting to see whether he can adjust to the demands of the Serie A after a successful period with the Dutch champions.
