WALES WORLD CUP WATCH: AARON RAMSEY BACK IN ACTION

There is a little over a month to go before Wales’ first World Cup campaign in 64 years begins with a game against the United States in Qatar. With players eager to cement a place in Rob Page’s 26-man squad – and supporters desperate to see them avoid injuries – BBC Sport Wales is keeping a watchful eye on Wales’ World Cup hopefuls.
Ramsey’s welcome return

There was a welcome sight for Welsh eyes in Auxerre on Sunday as Aaron Ramsey returned to action for Nice. The Wales midfielder, 31, had missed Nice’s previous two games because of an ongoing thigh injury. But Ramsey came on as a substitute midway through the second half as Nice, who are 13th in Ligue 1, claimed a point thanks to a 1-1 draw.
Petit hopes Ramsey can adapt to life at Nice. Elsewhere in France, the suspended Joe Rodon had the weekend off following his recent red card against Nantes. Gareth Bale was not in action either, as Los Angeles FC had a clear weekend ahead of their MLS Cup play-off game against rivals LA Galaxy, which takes place in the early hours of Friday morning. RAMSEY ABSENT FOR BELGIUM CLASH

Former Arsenal and Cardiff City midfielder Aaron Ramsey was a major absentee for the UEFA Nations League clash between Wales and hosts Belgium. Aaron Ramsey was absent as his Welsh team lost 2-1 to home team Belgium who are second on the FIFA Ranking behind five-time world champions Brazil.

OGC Nice star Ramsey missed the latest international game between Belgium and Wales due to injury. Aaron Ramsey was not the only Wales player to miss the game as a result of injury. WELSH STAR RAMSEY FEATURED AGAINST MONACO

Welsh international Aaron Ramsey was featured as his OGC Nice side suffered a 1-0 defeat at home to AS Monaco. Aaron Ramsey and Nice have started the new French Ligue 1 season poorly with a solitary win from the first six games.

Former Arsenal and Cardiff City star Ramsey is a new player in the OGC Nice squad following his free transfer move to the club this summer. He left Italian Serie A outfit Juventus to sign for Nice as a free agent. Aaron Ramsey spent four seasons at Juventus before he left them to secure a move to French football for the first time in his career. He had one year left on his contract at Juventus before they reached an agreement to terminate it for him to sign for a new team as a free agent.
