DOES RAMSEY HAVE A LIFELINE AT JUVE NEXT SEASON?

Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey did not have the best of seasons during the last campaign and it was largely due to the fact that he was not allowed to play as many games as he would have loved to. He has always shown that he would so much love the idea to play more frequently for the Old Lady bit his chances have not been coming of late and that has particularly led to him being linked with a move away from Turin. Before the end of the past season, he featured in limited games under Andrea Pirlo and reports stated that he was ready to move on this summer.

However, there has been quite some development and things could pan out differently now that there is a new manager at the club. Not like it’s an entirely new face though, but Juve decided to call back their former manager Massimiliano Allegri following the turbulent campaign they had on under Pirlo the last term. Pirlo came under criticism for not being able to get the best out of his players and that he was still too inexperienced to be managing a team like Juve.

They had to wait until the last day of the 2020-2021 season to confirm that they would be playing UEFA Champions League football next season after pipping Napoli to a fourth-place finish. Pirlo was then asked to step down from the managerial role and discussions started with Allegri for him to be re-appointed. Ramsey and Allegri know each other quite well since they have worked together before and there is a big belief in the Wales international midfielder’s camp that he could have a lifeline at the club next season.

The former Arsenal man is hopeful that he can impress Allegri in pre-season well enough to have a place in the team for the upcoming 2021-22 Italian Serie A campaign.

RAMSEY CONTINUES TO MOVE CLOSER TO JUVE EXIT

While Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey has continued to remain coy about his future, reports have continued to circulate that the player is all set to quit the Italian Serie A giants. Ramsey was reduced to a bit-part role at the Old Lady last season and was not allowed to feature in a lot of games by the then-manager Andrea Pirlo, leading to the birth of rumors and speculations that have continued to cast doubts about his long-term stay with Juve.

After discovering that he was no longer a confirmed starter in the first team, reports claimed that Ramsey began to hunt for a new club. Reports from multiple sources dropped hints that the Wales international midfielder became interested in moving back to his former club, Arsenal. The English Premier League club were equally said to be interested in bringing back their former player to the Emirates Stadium but when asked if the rumors were real, the Gunners manager, Mikel Arteta insisted that he would not talk about players of other clubs.

Following the dismissal of Pirlo and the confirmation of the appointment of ex-Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri, it is widely believed that Ramsey will have another shot at convincing his new manager that he deserves to be given a chance at the club. Also, Allegri’s return is said to be a huge boost to the confidence of some of the fringe players under Pirlo as they all reportedly have a renewed hope that they can stay and fight for their place in the team.

However, one of the conditions that saw Allegri take back the managerial job was that the club were going to hand him some funds to sign new players in the summer transfer window – casting more doubts over the future of Ramsey and some other players.
