RAMSEY EXPECTED FOR SERBIA CLASH

The Welsh international has not played for his country since his feat in the stunning victory over a star-studded Belgian team at the quarterfinal stage of Euro 2016. He picked up a yellow card that ensured he missed the semi final clash with Portugal, eventual champions. After four months, he is expected to feature in their World Cup qualifying match against Serbia despite gradually regaining full match fitness.

Ramsey missed three World Cup qualifying games as he was suffering from hamstring injury. He picked up the injury on the first match of the season. Wales would be expecting the Arsenal to be on his best, as Serbia seems to be their biggest threat from Russia 2018. They already dropped points against Georgia and Serbia last month, but would be most willing to get maximum points when they meet Serbia again.

“I’ve seen him up close in a tournament; I’ve seen the level he’s at. In my personal opinion, there’s not a team on the planet he couldn’t play for when he’s at his best. That’s not a biased opinion because I’m a Welshman and we all love Rambo. I’m looking at it clinically. Playing in a tournament, against the top teams, he was head and shoulders above,” Welsh coach Chris Coleman said of Ramsey.

When asked if Ramsey would start against Serbia, Coleman confirmed.

“Of course he’s going to start the game. He looks great. However long he’ll last, physically, we don’t know, but we do know he’s generally probably one of the fittest players playing football. Looking at the last two months, we have to see where he’s at.”

The team regulars in Ashley Williams, Gareth Bale, Joe Allen and others are poised to feature in the important game for Wales.

Ramsey out for 3 more weeks

The player picks up an injury in the match against Liverpool and has yet to come back to training.

It was expected that the player would be out for 2-3 weeks but it has now been revealed that the injury is quite serious. Aaron Ramsey has experienced a lot of injuries during his career, and again it is a hamstring injury that will be keeping him out of the team.

The Wales international have already missed games against Chelsea last week, and it is expected that he will be missing Arsenal Champions League game against Basel as Premier League match against Burnley. The Welsh international will also miss his national side game counting for the World Cup qualifiers.

Wenger said that Aaron Ramsey will still need time to recover and that he will be missing a couple of games in the future. He admitted that the medical team made a wrong forecast in the beginning and that it now appears clear that the player will be missing more than the 3 weeks initially expected.

He is, however, confident that the player will return to the pitch soon and that he will recover his fitness to help the team in this important season. Some people have criticized Arsene Wenger’s decision to not give the player any extended rest after the Euros like the other players. However, the French manager replied that Ramsey was out of the tournament earlier and that he appeared fit in training.

Aaron Ramsey said that he is determined to come back to his best, and he has vowed to train hard in order to get back to his best level once he returned from injury.
