RAMSEY PLAYS

The Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey has not played a match with Arsenal since December when he sustained an injury that has left him out of Arsenal’s latest 12 matches including fixtures not only of the Premier League but also from the Champions League and the FA Cup which is a big hit for Arsene Wenger as Ramsey was one of the standout performers for Arsenal during the 1st half of the season.

Ramsey’s contributions for Arsenal before picking up the injury include 13 goals and 7 assists which he managed to do during the initial 5 months of the season and the 23 years old midfielder was even voted by fans as the team’s player of the month during the initial stages of the campaign which shows just how valued he is not only by his coach but the fans.

Arsenal managed to sign Kim Kallstrom during the January transfer window and one of the main reasons why Wenger decided to secure the services of the Swedish midfielder from Spartak Moscow was because of the injury that Ramsey picked up.

"We are still trying to bring one body in because of Ramsey's setback and Flamini's suspension," he was quoted on Arsenal's Twitter feed.

That was Wenger’s statement which he made back in January when he was trying to find someone who can solve some of the problems that the club was suffering from in the 1st half of the season and he responded by signing Kim Kallstrom from Moscow.

Ramsey was expected to play with the main squad of Arsenal when they were going to play against Southampton some weeks ago and the Welshman even started to train as he was getting ready to make his return from injury but suffered another setback which prevented him from making his comeback.
