Arsene Wenger reckons that his club Arsenal will remain in the hunt for a Premier League title

Arsene Wenger reckons that his club Arsenal will remain in the hunt for a Premier League title if they manage to reproduce their second half showing against Swansea in all the matches.

The gunners have struggled against the Swans especially at the Liberty Stadium. It once again seemed a similar case when the first half concluded on Saturday. However, there was a magnificent performance waiting in the wings for Arsenal after the stormed past Swansea in the second half. Olivier Giroud’s goal proved the first of three in a brilliant second half and Wenger reckons that the objective for Arsenal is to play the same in all the matches.

As a result of this win, Arsenal have maintained in the momentum acquired in recent weeks. It seemed to have gone down the drain after a poor 3-0 loss against Sheffield Wednesday in the League Cup. After bouncing back, they have stayed level with Manchester City at the top. City are only top of the table because of a slightly better goal difference, but Arsenal have even managed to bridge that gap by scoring three against Swansea. The next league match, though, will be a fiercely fought encounter, as Arsenal welcome Tottenham to the Emirates stadium.

"We are very ambitious, very hungry as well and if we play like that we will be in the (title) fight. In the first half it was difficult, but in the second half we upped our purpose and tempo and had pace in our combinations.Once we scored the first goal we were the dominant team and won the game normally.I am proud of scoring goals because people like to come to see football to see people try to play. But the most important (thing), of course, was the three points - and we have made a little difference with some teams,” said Wenger.
